With the starter kit, you get the 8 oz makeup brush cleaner and the tin is included for free.
If you don't need the tin, you can get the brush cleaner on its own in an 8 oz size for $24. (Or go for it and get the big daddy size of 32 oz!)
To wash your brushes with Cinema Secrets brush cleaner, you just pour a small amount into the canister that comes with the set (or you can just use a glass). Then you swish your brush around in the liquid and wipe the brush off on a washcloth or tissue. I lay the brushes on the counter to air dry overnight.
There will be some liquid left in the container that you used. I take a tissue and wipe it up and then throw it away.
Cinema Secrets is so great because I can clean 20 eye brushes in a few minutes. It's made my life so much simpler!
Some drawbacks are that it's kind of expensive compared to cheap shampoo or baby shampoo. It also has a vanilla scent. I like vanilla, so I don't mind it, but the fragrance will cling to your brushes and it is quite strong. One other problem is that since it's blue, it can leave a slight blue cast on white brushes. Also, larger brushes really absorb a lot of liquid, so that can burn through your product. For this reason, I wash fluffy brushes with liquid soap instead. One last concern that I have is that some ingredients (I'll post the ingredient list below) in Cinema Secrets might break me out. I haven't had any issues with this, but just to be safe, I still wash all my foundation and powder brushes with liquid soap.
Overall, Cinema Secrets brush cleaner is a game changer! It save so much time and makes washing my eye makeup brushes a million times easier. If you want to try it out, it comes in a 2 ounce travel size for $8.00. Give it a try! It's the bomb.com!
