I picked up this foundation at Walmart for $5.94. So the price is definitely affordable! I got the shade Porcelain 110, which I'm thinking might be a smidge light for me.
I'm NW20-ish, but I really lean more neutral. I'm 1n1 in Estee Lauder Double Wear, which is a great shade match - but that foundation breaks me out! Le sigh. Which leads me to my skin type...my skin is acne-prone, oily in the t-zone and more normal on my cheeks.
This foundation comes in a glass bottle with a plastic lid. It does not have a pump, so you have to pour the product out on your hand or a palette.
The ingredients are hidden behind the label on the back.
The description promises that, "This ultra-lightweight foundation contains micro-powders that absorb oil for a matte and poreless-looking finish. Unique formula goes beyond matching just skintone and also matches the texture of normal to oily skin for the ultimate natural fit. Dermatologist and allergy tested, this mattifying foundation does not clog pores and is oil-free."
I do agree that the formula is matte. It dries to a very matte finish. It doesn't make the pores on the sides of my nose/cheeks disappear, but it does make my forehead look poreless. I also feel like it is abosorbing oil and even moisture from my skin. By the end of the day, the skin below my lower lip feels very dehydrated and almost itchy. However, I do have oil break through on my chin at about the 3 hour mark. As far as matching the texture of normal to oily skin? I don't think that's necessarily the case, because it really looks like you're wearing foundation. Blessedly, they are right about it being oil-free and not clogging pores. I didn't experience any breakouts at all after testing this foundation for five days.
I applied this foundation with a damp Beauty Blender and found that gives the most even appearance. The coverage is light to medium and you can build it up on areas that need more opacity, but beware, because it can get cakey. The finish is indeed matte, but I did try setting with loose powder (Clinique Blended Face Powder) and also Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Pressed Powder. Both powders helped to set the foundation in my t-zone. I just did a light dusting everywhere else.
Here's my skin without any makeup:
And here I am wearing Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless Foundation and set with Clinique Blended Face Powder in Transparency Neutral.
As for the shade match, I think Porcelain is a tad too light and too pink for me. It just doesn't quite match my neck. The next shade is Natural Ivory 112, so that might be a better option.
Here are swatches of the foundation heavily swatched on top and lightly blended in the swatch below.

Maybelline Fit Me Matte and Poreless foundation has a lot going for it. It's matte and does help to diminish the appearance of pores. It's oil-free and didn't break me out. It's also very budget friendly! However, it doesn't really look skin-like and can get cakey and emphasize dry skin flakes. Shade matching is also a challenge, as with most drugstore foundations. If the formula didn't make my skin feel dehydrated and tight, I would try to get a better shade and work with different application techniques to get a more natural finish. However, since it makes my skin feel dry and itchy, I'm going to return it and move on to another foundation. Still looking for my HG!
