I like some of Wet 'n' Wild's other products, like their Color Icon Bronzer (it's really a highlighter) in Reserve Your Cabana. So, I figured I'd give the Megalast lippie a shot.
Megalast Lip Color is $1.99. The packaging is all plastic, which is what I'd expect at that price point. It's fine, except that the bullet doesn't screw all the way down, so you will end up dinging the lipstick when you put the cap back on. If it hasn't happened yet, just wait. I took this shot when it was still pristine and not yet dented by the lid.
I chose the color Cherry Picking because it looked like a bright, fun color.
Cherry Picking is a pinky red that looks like a blue based red on me.
It's a very flattering color. In swatches, it looks a bit more pinky-fuschia. Here's inside, no flash:

Although the shade is gorgeous, the formula wasn't a slam dunk for me. It's very waxy and dry going on. It tugs as you apply it and creates flakes on my lips that I didn't know were there. The finish is semi-matte. It's not as drying as a liquid lipstick, but it's still very uncomfortable.
I tried to wear this all day for science, but I broke down and wiped it off after about 45 minutes. After removing with a tissue, it left a nice popsicle stain. I put on some Aquaphor and was actually pleased with the result. It looks like a lip tint or tinted lip balm.
I'm going to keep this lipstick because it was so cheap, but it's not one that I would recommend. I'm glad I tried it, though! If I had just looked at the reviews, I'd think I was really missing out. Now I won't be tempted when I see them at Walmart!
