Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer Review

You know when you keep seeing a product pop up online everywhere and it seems like everyone loves it, but you haven't tried it? That was me with Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer.

I kept reading raves about it and I was like $29 for a concealer? Then I saw that you can get it in a travel size for $12, and I settled down. However, the travel size only comes in the shades Vanilla and Custard. Thankfully, Vanilla is my color!

This concealer comes in a tube with a doe-foot wand. The applicator handle is the same black matte material like most Nars packaging. It does get smudgy, so be prepared to wipe it off periodically.

The shade Vanilla is described as having a "tiny cast of pink for the fair complexion". For my NW 15/20 skin tone, it matches exactly. So if you want a highlighting concealer and you are my skintone, this won't be light enough. If you just want something that will match your skin and conceal imperfections, then Vanilla is great. I just wanted to conceal my undereye area and my skin cancer scar and it works beautifully for both those areas.

Let's see how it looks on the skin! Here is me without any makeup.
Here's what my undereye area looks with with the Nars concealer (I set it with Clinique Blended Face Powder, but I'm not wearing any other makeup.)

Here's my scar without any makeup (it's the red patch right by my eye).

And here's what the scar looks like with concealer and loose powder.

I really like this concealer! I was skeptical at first, because it seems like sometimes things that everyone likes are often fails for me. But, I've been using it for a few weeks and it's become my favorite concealer! It is very creamy and goes on nicely. I glides on over my sunscreen (Skinceuticals Physical Fusion), but does tug a bit if I haven't freshly applied my skincare. So then some eye cream underneath really helps. The coverage is excellent and the color match is perfect. It has a little bit of a foundation smell, but I don't notice it and it is not bothersome. This concealer creases a tiny bit, but most concealers do that on me. It is minimal, however, and setting with loose powder really helps.

Here are the ingredients:

And let's not forget the swatches! On the top is a thick application and below that is more blended out.

I would absolutely buy Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer again! It's creamy, provides excellent coverage, Vanilla is a wonderful shade match, the doe foot applicator is easy to use, the travel size is affordable and the creasing is very minimal! It's a hit!
