Nuxe Reve de Miel Moisturizing Stick Review

I loved the Nuxe Reve de Miel Ultra Nourishing Lip Balm so much that I wanted to try the stick form. So I threw the Nuxe Reve de Miel Moisturizing Stick into my cart for my last Ulta order.

The stick lip balm has similar ingredients to the balm that comes in the pot.

They both have shea butter, sweet almond oil and sunflower seed oil. They also both have a citrus scent. However, that is where the similarities end.

Sadly, I don't find the Moisturizing Stick to be nearly as moisturizing as the Ultra Nourishing Lip Balm. The stick version feels thin and isn't terribly hydrating. It also doesn't last very long - maybe 45 minutes to an hour - before I need to reapply.

The balm itself is a bullet, like a lipstick, and goes on clear.

Let's have a look at the pros and cons.

Pros
  •  Pleasant citrus scent
  • goes on clear
  • relatively inexpensive
  • relatively easy to find
  • no chemical or otherwise offensive taste
Cons
  • not very moisturizing
  • feels thin
  • not long lasting
I was am so disappointed that the Nuxe Reve de Miel Moisturizing Stick wasn't as great as the Nuxe balm in the pot. I read some reviews online that said that very same thing, but I had to find out for myself. I prefer a thicker, creamier, longer lasting balm. However, the Moisturizing Stick does smell nice and doesn't have a chemical taste. So I'm going to keep this and stash it in a drawer in the tv room (can't be anywhere without a lip product within arm's reach!), but I am sad to say that I won't be buying it again!
