Paula's Choice website states that, "This gentle, leave-on exfoliant rapidly unclogs pores, diminishes the appearance of wrinkles and improves skin tone for unbelievably smooth, radiant skin." The main ingredients are salicylic acid and green tea extract. Salicylic acid is a BHA, or beta hydroxy acid, and it is a wonderful chemical exfoliant. It can go down into the pores and really help to treat and prevent breakouts.
I started using this exfoliant on my back and chest. I do suffer from bacne occasionally, so I like something that's going to stay on my skin and work to keep it clear. This worked so well that I decided to try it on my face. Back in December, I was having problems with some really clogged pores on my chin and right below my mouth. Since I've been using the Skin Perfecting Liquid, my skin has been mostly clear and smooth, with the occasional hormonal breakout or irritation from testing products.
Here's a photo with directions for use and the ingredient list.
You can apply it am and pm, but I've just been applying it in the morning. I cleanse first and then pat my skin dry. Then I shake this onto my hands and pat it on like aftershave. Then I apply my Aczone (prescription acne medication) and then my Cerave moisturizer and then SPF.
The bottle has a hole in the top.
The product comes out as a liquid like water.
You could also put this on a cotton square, if you prefer, but I feel like the cotton pad just soaks up product and wastes it.
Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting Liquid has a lot of pros!
Pros

- Helps to fade post inflammatory hyperpigmentation from previous breakouts
- unscented
- feels lightweight on the skin
