I've had my MAC 15, 4 and 2 pan eyeshadow palettes for quite a while.
They're awesome, but sometimes it would be nice to have something bigger
than 4 pans and smaller than 15.
Well, now MAC has come out with a bunch of different palette options! I decided to try the 6 pan and the 9 pan palettes.
Here's what the 6 pan looks like with shadows in it (shades in the top row (L to R) are Girlie and Yogurt, the second row has Patina and Retrospeck and the bottom row is Satin Taupe and Woodwinked).
Here's
what the 9 pan palette looks like empty.
The inserts pop out and are
sold separately, so be sure to get the insert and the palette itself!
The 9 pan eyeshadow palette fits in the medium compact.
The 6 pan insert fits in the small compact.
These
are both great! I like customizable palettes because I can pick
whatever I want for the look I'm trying to create. I do have a z
palette, but I'm a little too uptight to fully enjoy free form palettes.
I like the organization of the round inserts in the MAC palettes.
The eyeshadow palettes also accommodate MAC's Studio Finish Concealers and Correctors, if you want to add those to the mix. Additionally, there is a new blush palette insert that you can put in the small palette. Or you can add the 2 pan blush insert with two 6 pan eyeshadow inserts in the large palette for a blush/eyeshadow/concealer combo. I didn't pick up any blush inserts because I was totally hyped up about the
lower price of the pro eyeshadow singles, so that's what I was focusing
on for this last order.
I'm really happy with these new palette
offerings! Even though there are so many different eyeshadow options,
MAC is an eyeshadow that I always come back to - Orb, Era, Grain, and
Naked Lunch are some of my all time favorites and I will always have
them in my stash!
