I thought I'd try one more matte lippie to see if I could find one that I could tolerate wearing. I feel like such an old curmudgeon that I can't get on the matte lip bandwagon. Alas, the Sephora Wonderful Cushion Matte Lip Cream did not help me with my plight. I tried the shade "Wonderful Purple" in an effort not to keep buying hot pink lip products.
Wonderful Purple is absolutely delightful shade-wise. It's a rich berry/wine color that does not venture into vamp territory, like some purples. Here's what it looks like on my lips:
Here are the swatches.

The applicator on this lippie is a somewhat firm, foam sphere. It made staying inside the lipline a bit challenging.
The Wonderful Cushion has a fruity/vanilla scent, but it's not overwhelming. It feels light on the lip, but it is dehydrating over time. It also wore off the center of my lips after about 30 minutes. I only left it on about an hour because it was wearing off so badly.
I just don't think I'm a matte lip person. My lips are too dry and anything matte just accentuates my lip wrinkles.
If you want to try out Sephora's Wonderful Cushion Matte Lip Cream, you can pick it up for $8, which isn't bad. As for me, I'll be returning it and putting the money toward some of the new Urban Decay Vice Lipsticks.
